During my holidays in Crete, I went to spend a day in Chania which is the second biggest city in the island after Heraklion.

Chania and its harbor are at the top places to visit in Crete. The harbor setting is a spectacular Venetian architecture from the 14th century, horse carts, some nice shops, cute little hotels, lots of restaurants, many boats, street music, sea breezes and beautiful sunsets.
It is lovely to walk the entire length of the landslide quay and all the way to the lighthouse at the end of the peer. There is a fortress halfway that provides nice views over the sea. From the lighthouse, we could also enjoy a nice view of the city.
All the streets around the harbor are the old narrow colourful roads that I loved to walk around and explore.
