During our stay in Vienna, we went to visit Belvedere
Prince Eugene of Savoy (1663-1736) was a successful general and art connoisseur; he had Belvedere garden palace built as his summer residence. It consists of two palaces (Upper and Lower Belvedere), which today is a museum of Austrian art from the Middle Ages to our present day.
At the heart of the collections at the Belvedere are the works of Gustav Klimt with his most famous painting "The Kiss"
The Baroque palace of Price Eugene was spectacular. There is nothing quite like it in the entire Austria. The garden is just marvellous!
The feudal splendour of the palace’s aristocratic owner is reflected in the Hall of Grotesques, the Marble Gallery and the Golden Room in the Lower Belvedere
For this sunny day in Vienna I was wearing a Topshop skirt, Dorothy Perkins T-shirt, Clarks sandals and my always brand sunglasses Knockarround.
Thanks a million for your lovely comments!!
