The post today is from my last trip, this is one of the best places that I visited in Vienna, the city with the most gorgeous palaces and beautiful rich historical buildings I have ever seen.
Schönbrunn was the stately summer residence during the reign of Maria Theresa. This Baroque palace is one of the most important architectural, cultural and historical monuments in Vienna, Austria.
We went for tour through the authentically furnished residential and ceremonial rooms of the Imperial Family in the palace which was fantastic but we were not allowed to take pictures inside the palace not even without flash... so this is the only picture I managed to take when nobody could see me...
The Palace has 1441 rooms and only 40 are open to the public, all 40 that we saw are beautifully decorated, it was amazing to see it!!
Schönbrunn means "Beautiful Spring" and you can see why it has this name.
Schönbrunn Palace attracts several million visitors from all over the world each year. In 1996 Schönbrunn was declared a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site.
