How is the fall going? It seems a bit late for this post when we are in Autumn and every picture that I am showing looks like Summer but my holidays were late and they came to an end at the beggining of October so during this month, I have been posting pictures looking very summery but hey, my Summer was late.
I promise you that I will dedicate my next post to the Fall :)
Portofino is a fishing village and vacation resort in the province of Genoa on the Italian Riviera, famous for its historical association with celebrity and artistic visitors. The town is clustered around its small harbour and is known for the colourfully painted buildings that line the shore.
We took the Boat trip from Rapallo where we stayed for a few days, Rapallo is a big and pretty town in the coast very close to Genova with a small and beautiful port.
Arrival to Portofino
Portofino has just over 500 permanent residents, everything changes during the summer when it is very popular with visitors arriving mainly by boat, the road to Portofino often is closed as the car parks get full quickly and they run out of parking spaces making often impossible to come by car.
If you do a day trip to Portofino, it is advisable coming by boat, also the boat takes you to Fruttuoso and Santa Margarita, two more pretty sites that you can visit on the same day.
They are some historical sites too: Two Churches and a Castle

|Church of San Giorgio|
Trip to San Fruttuoso
From Portofino and few minutes by boat, we went to visit San Fruttuoso where you can see a small beach and the Abbey

And this is all from this trip :)
If you are going to Italy you will love visiting Portofino.
