Day and Night at Burj Khalifa

Hi!
This week's post is from my last trip to Dubai, at the famous megatall skyscraper Burj Khalifa, known as Burj Dubai before its inauguration. It is the tallest structure in the world, standing at 829.8m

Hola!

The best place to admire this amazing building is from The Dubai main Mall fountains. The Dubai  Mall is the largest shopping mall in the world by total area. It is a huge shopping and leisure centre with department stores, plus an ice rink, aquarium and a cinema.

The Mall fountains are next to Burj Khalifa. we come to the mall during the day to see better the impressive building and to do some shopping but we came one evening for dinner and see the lights. Coming at night is also a must.

Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall Fountains Lights

As I said, coming to see the Fountains at night is a must, in fact we loved it so much that we came twice.
The Dubai Fountain is the world's largest choreographed fountain system set on the 30-acre manmade Burj Khalifa Lake, at the centre of the Downtown Dubai development. The shoots of water are up to 150m (like a 50 floor building)
The fountain performs to a range of different songs from classical to contemporary Arabic and world music. It is an amazing spectacle, it reminds me to a massive firework show but instead of the typical noise of fireworks, you will be listening music, on that day we had Beethoven dancing fountains, it was fantastic.

We did a video of one of the shows but our iPhone video was not that well recorded so I leave you one from YouTube instead although I liked more the spectacle that I saw with Beethoven Music, this one has been recorded hundred times better than ours.

The Fountain show is every night and every half an hour until 11pm, it last 3 minutes.
The show is free and you can see it from any point in the square but it is worth it to sit to have a drink from one of the bar restaurants in the area. The spectacle is fantastic, one of the best tourist attractions here.

Thanks a million for your comments and have alovely week! I am actually on holidays in Turkey so I won't be online very often ;) xxx

I agree the Burj is amazing! I've seen the fountains and they're pretty cool too! :) Enjoy your holidays! Why is it that you go to Turkey very often? Is it one of the nicest destinations in the world in your opinion? I'm curious to know :)

Bss

Hi June! I come to Turkey every year because I have my summer house here but I don't stay for long as I use my holidays to travel and see different places too. I like Bodrum area a lot but I also love travelling to Spain and Italy. I hope I answered your question :) xxx
