Rio de Janeiro. Top 5 Things to do

Hi peeps!
Olympic Games Rio 2016 have just started and this fantastic event has brought me great memories from my trip to Rio de Janeiro so I though to share them with you.
I shared all these pictures on FACEBOOK before, so you may have already seen them.
I did not take my camera during this trip because we were told not to carry valuables with us, to wear basic clothes and not jewellery, so as a bracelets I only had my hair bands :)
I was travelling just with my friend Patricia and we were told to be careful if we were two women alone but I think I could have taken my camera as the security in Rio increased a lot during events like Olympics or the Worldcup. All the pictures were done wih our mobiles.

Hola gente!

1. Barrio de Lapa

This area is my favourite in Rio, we were staying there and living with local people, it has very goos athmosphere, full of markets, shops, bars, restaurants. You will see Lapa Archs and Selaron Staircase or Lapa Stairs that you musn't miss.

2. El Corcovado, Cristo Redentor

What can I say, come up to here was my dream coming to Brasil, you will enjoy wonderful views and you cannot miss your picture with Corcovado.

 3. Copacaban and Ipanema Beach

Both beaches are next to each other, we rent bicycles and it was an excellent way to see all the coast and beaches in Rio, also there is bicycle rail all the way.

4. Sugarloaf Mountain/ Pan de Azucar

From Sugarloaf you can enjoy the wonderful views of all Rio de Janeiro, specially Bahia de Guanabara.

5. Maracana Stadium

Huge stadium that staged the Worldcup Final in 2014 and will stage the Opening and Closing ceremonies of the Olympics in Rio.

OUR VIDEO

To finish the post, I leave you a video that we made of our trip, I let you know that it is very bad quality but it shows the main places of Rio and you can see all the places we visited in just four minutes.

Have a lovely week everybody and many many thanks for all your comments! xxx
Besicos

Nuria... wow... Brazil is so pretty and has so many places to see... I have heard that you should have no valuables when you visit there, I am glad to hear there was more security while you were there... a friend of mine went there about 15 years ago and loved it but she said she always had to have her money under her shirt strapped to her waist. I am loving all the colors, it is gorgeous xox

What an awesome trip! I love the statue of Jesus, so beautiful. And one of my favorite pictures was of YOU wearing the flower head piece. What gorgeous views these are. You travel to the most interesting places, and get to experience many different cultures and traditions. Such a grand time!
